Yammer is one of the best tools to aid in CRM user collaboration and takes Activity Feed to a whole new level. After all Yammer is a top tier Enterprise Social Network solution. I use Yammer with my Microsoft CRM and the good news is that Yammer is fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. And of course – I want to continue using it in CRM Online 2013.
One issue I’d encountered is the “Log in with Yammer” button doesn’t show up in my CRM forms after the Microsoft CRM Online update to CRM Online Fall ‘13 (CRM 2103).
After my Microsoft CRM Online Fall ‘13 update – whenever I selected the Yammer link within the Social Pane – the progress ring spinner keeps spinning and never completes. It also generates an error upon closing the CRM record form. This occurs on both the CRM 2013 Web Client (Internet Explorer) and also the CRM Outlook Client.
Note: If you have configured Yammer for your CRM Online organization – Yammer replaces Activity Feed and will display as a selection within the Social Pane.
After some trouble-shooting – the resolution was to reset Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) back to default. After I’d performed the IE reset – the “Log in with Yammer” button showed up like normal and I’m back on the road using Yammer with my Microsoft CRM!
On a related Enterprise Social Network topic, here is an exciting news announced yesterday: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Social Insights powered by InsideView.
Social Insights is an exciting new capability in the Fall ‘13 U.S. release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Professional. Built on the InsideView CRM Intelligence Platform, it populates CRM lead, contact, opportunity and account records with real-time company and contact data, insights and connections, so CRM users can engage more effectively with customers and prospects.
The best part of this is that Social Insights is included with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Professional licenses, at no additional charge!
