Upon installation of Update Rollup 12 the old Activity Feeds solution will be replaced with new components from the default solution, meaning it can no longer be removed.

From what I’ve heard, the Activity Feeds solution is now built into the default solution. While hiding the UI components presumably remains possible, the whole concept of feeds is becoming less and less optional. Even though I haven’t seen a final version of how the Yammer content appears inside CRM, I think the autoposts functionality and follow buttons will remain an integral part of the product, even when Yammer replaces the user posts.
